it's been a long time since i made ellies! the dusty pale blue mohair has a very vintage-y look, i felt compelled to try it out on new elephant designs. a biggish one and a very small one are in progress. mixing the old blue ticking fabric w/ mohair is a first for me also. something old, something new, something borrowed and something baby elephant blue...
rice bear bathing in tomato sauce. found via google search the words tomato and bear. sound strange? i have a concept for a new bear, so let that be a warning :) will post works in progress here when they are "ripening".
seems all i've been doing lately is standing over a simmering dutch oven. a pot of vegan chili or a pot of dying mohair - not using the same pot of course! i'm happy to say the results of both endeavors came out swell. what does that spotted mohair remind you of? did i hear you say giraffe? i think it time to try and make one of those! (hint hint)

happy march- spring is officially this month! even though chicago is still freezing (until about the first day of summer, lol) there is welcomed sunshine and longer days signaling a change of season. what better time for a spring squirrel ePattern! yes, now you can make nutello -a vintage style 4" mohair squirrel with *wired tail*. ePattern is now available in my etsy shop. i've included helpful pics and tips to assist you. as always, feel free to email me with any questions. here's to warmer spring days!
