Web Warming Party & Giveaway ~ You're invited!

The welcome mat is finally out! Come step inside my brand new web site, I hope you'll feel right at home in my new digs. So kick your shoes off, pour a cup of tea and have fun perusing to your hearts delight!

It was a task of enormous proportions to overhaul 5+ years worth of pictures, archives, info, etc. And being my own web designer (read: prone to perpetual tweaking) I think I did a pretty good job of streamlining things. There are new categories for Illustration and Miniature Sculpture, which I'm really excited to be doing this year.

Aaaaand speaking of miniature sculpture.... to celebrate the relaunch of peng-peng.com I am giving away a One-of-a-kind mini buddha bear figurine! To be entered in the giveaway, just leave a comment with your favorite zen / buddha quote (or something in that vein). One entry per person. Be sure your email is in the comment or as a link through your blog profile, so I can contact you if you win. The winner will be drawn by random number generator before end of this month. This is my first ever giveaway, so I hope it's fun for everyone :)

Hope you like the new site! If you have me bookmarked, be sure to update it since all the pages have changed. Have a great day and happy commenting!

"He who knows, does not speak. He who speaks, does not know."

That is my favorite quote for a zillion years but it is Taoist...does that count? I do keep a vintage "happy Buddha" in wood near my PC and his tummy is a little bit worn.

I would love a bear by Peng Peng so please enter me.

Wow! The site is excellent. What a job! Congratulations on launching it!

hey sweetie - the new site looks wonderful. this is my favourite zen quote by Wu-men

Ten thousand flowers in spring
the moon in autumn,
a cool breeze in summer,
snow in winter.
If your mind isn't clouded by unnecessary things,
this is the best season of your life.

I love that picture of you standing on the path in the woods, near the trees...And i LOVE those sock monkeys!!! i don't have a Buddhist or Zen Quote but one of my favorite quotes that i used to say all while our EX-President (YAY) was in power was..."An Eye for an Eye will make us all blind" Mohandas K Gandhi. Congrats on the new site!

I like all quotes by Thich Nhat Hanh, but this one in particular conveys my mood in this New Year.

"You are a miracle, and everything you touch could be a miracle."

hi peng peng! congratulations on your new site and sweet clay creations. i've been subscribed to your mailings for a couple of years now and am a big fan of your pablita style bears. i think you'd do some great hedgehogs--i have two tiny spiny companions (uni and ipi), so of course i am biased. ;)

this is my favorite buddha quote. it was on the dry erase board in my kitchen as a reminder for quite a while.

“Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it.”

all blessings for your new world on the web!

It took me a bit to find my favorite Buddha quote, there it is. Pam

This is a great site! I can tell you worked really hard on it! I love your Buddha bears a whole bunch! I hate just commenting now that there's a contest, but I do read your blog pretty faithfully! My favorite Buddha quote is "All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.” That's very true.

Your bear is so wonderful.

As always, love your website and the MONKEYS!!

I really like "the rise up and be thankful" quote, but I'll pick another.

"People do not like to think. If one thinks, one must reach conclusions. Conclusions are not always pleasant."

Hello, I would LOVE to win one of your creations! I've left a quote for you below. My email can be found via my blog profile. Best, Ani

"In this moment there is nothing which comes to be. In this moment there is nothing which ceases to be. Thus there is no birth-and-death to be brought to an end. Therefore the absolute tranquility of nirvana is this present moment. Though it is at this moment, there is no limit to this moment, and herein is eternal delight."

~ Hui Neng, The Sixth Zen Patriarch

i used to follow your sock monkeys years ago and was thinking of them recently but couldn't remember the artist's name -- knew if i tripped around blogland for awhile i would rediscover you...a christian-y zen sort of saying i like is "preach the gospel and when necessary use words"

and natch your site is lovely! ;)
